Shadi Atkins is a Clinical Herbalist, an Herbal Pharmacist, Energy Healer (Usui Reiki Master), Martial Artist/Tai Chi Chuan Instructor. He received his Masters of Science Degree in Herbal Medicine from the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts, in 2006. He is trained in traditional herbal systems, as well as the principles and practice of modern Western Herbalism. In addition, he also has comprehensive knowledge of how biomedicine applies to herbal therapeutics. Prior to receiving his Master’s Degree,
Shadi, received his B.A. in Pyschology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Before pursuing his career as a Clinical Herbalist and Herbal Pharmacist, he held positions as a mental health counselor for children and as an adult substance abuse recovery counselor in Atlanta and New Jersey. He also has worked extensively in the public health arena as a health educator specializing in community health education. Shadi’s deep connection with nature, respect for traditional healing methods, and love of people form the basis for his healing practice. He is available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays offering Herbal consultations, Tai Chi Chuan instruction, and Energetic Healings.
