Exercise Training
Movement minimizes a plethora of diseases, reduces stress, vitalizes the mind and body, and, for some, is an outward expression of the competitive spirit and drive to excel. My goal is to work with you to find a way to move (walk run, bike, swim, lift, play, etc.) that optimizes your health and meets or exceeds your fitness and athletic performance goals.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a 5000 years old form of Oriental medicine. Needle insertion is essentially painless, although a dull ache is often desirable for treatment efficacy. Other therapies involve moxabustion (burning of a medicinal herb to warm the body and move "Qi"), application of beads to ear acupoints, and electrical stimulation of acupuncture points, among others.
Chinese Herbs
Chinese herbs are especially useful for acute maladies, such as colds and injury, and remedying the long-standing and more severe energetic disharmonies. Chinese herbs are especially useful in my practice because they provide a daily "treatment" (taken as pills or teas) that can reinforce and bridge between clinic visits.

Bodywork Tui Na
During Tui Na (bodywork based on Oriental medical principles) the practitioners hands are used rather than needles or teas. Tui Na is especially effective for musculoskeletal pain (e.g., joint, low back and/or muscle pain) and stress.
Qi Gong
"Qi Gong" is Chinese for "Qi Work" activity spent cultivating and refining the bodys vital energy ("Qi"). Working with Qi is the foundation of Oriental medicine and the basis of acupuncture, chinese herbology, Oriental Bodywork and internal martial arts forms such as Tai Chi.
